Trunk power plug. GL1800

2007 GL1800. The power plug in the trunk has no power. I have continuity from the connector to the plug. No power to the red connector. Is this a fuse? What one is it.

On mine I went straight to the battery instead of the existing pigtail in the trunk so I could run a compressor without damage to the circuit. I wired in a 15A fuse in the hot side. Is there a fuse between yours and the battery/trunk pigtail? Also sometimes too many things get connected straight off the battery terminals and one will have a problem making connection. On this note never put anything between the battery and the terminals (might keep the battery from getting connection).
