That process is mostly right, but it covers bikes that are 2005 and older---for 2006 and up, the speaker trim all comes off as one piece and you don't need to remove the speaker grilles individually. Just give it a slight pull at the base of the trim piece and it will pop off. The rest of the process is the same...also, there is a pair of connectors to the tweeter speakers on the trim piece that wouldn't be there in the older bikes (no premium audio till 2006).
