Fred Harmons DVD

Postby FlyBoy2121 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 10:17 am

Hello has all.

I would like to know if there are people who have to buy the DVD of Fred Harmons on maintenance and repairs for GoldWing 1800.

I want to know if that are worth the money to ask.

If possible short answers, that is less difficult has to read.

Thank you has all.

In my opinion, the DVDs are great...if you have a service manual and are comfortable with it, there is nothing that Fred covers that is not in the book, but many people (including myself) like to see something completed before we try it on our own.

If you have been working on bikes for years, then there is probably nothing in the dvds that you have not seen before, but it is a good reference. It is definitely useful for someone who has never worked on goldwings before, because he explains some of the caveats a new person might encounter.

I agree with what gareval said. Also you can find many videos on youtube as well, yet search for gl1800 or goldwing.

I agree. Fred Harmons DVDs are great and I have referenced them often when performing service work on my GL1800s. The manual has everything in it, but having the visuals to see what to do (or not to do) is priceless in my opinion, especially if you're new to Gold Wing maintenance.
