1800 Turn signals out

Postby 1800winger » Mon Aug 23, 2010 6:29 am

My 2002 GL1800 turn signals are out. I have checked the solenoid (swapped it with another working one) and replaced the turn signal switch (complete left hand switch unit) with no cure. Does anyone have any other ideas on what could be wrong. The four way flashers work and the lights flash normally when the bike is locked/unlocked via the remote.

I don't know if it uses a separate flasher for the four-ways than for the turn signals (it's quite possible), but if so, you might want to check the turn flasher.

The turn signal canceling on the handlebar (not the automatic one) works by applying a ground to the circuit...is it possible that you have a wire that has rubbed against the frame somewhere and is grounding out?
