Reverser

2006 1800 wing trike will not reverse sometimes. Have had cable adjusted to no avail.gears partially engage but not fully, putting it in a forward gear a couple times seems to help. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.Bought trike used so no sure but I may have bought the problem..

Try changing your oil. What oil are you using?

Honda conventional oil I change every 3000 miles.

You can try an engine cleaner such as putting seafoam in the oil before your next oil change. You may also check the positive and negative connections to relay B making sure it engages sending power down to the reverse motor. Not going into reverse is a known problem with the wing. It usually rears its head when the weather turns colder. This can also be caused when the oil becomes contaminated with to much moisture in the oil.

You might also try lubing the cables on the right hand side of the bike...
