how do I close the small door by the left gearstick that's open?

Postby tedhughes » Sat Sep 03, 2016 10:33 pm

I bought a 2013 Series2 GL1800A about 3 months ago but am very new to Goldwings and not very good at practical stuff anymore.
There is a small door on the left crankcase just in front of the gear stick lever and below the cylinder heads.
It is wedged open and won't click shut
Is there a trick I am missing or just take it to the shop?

Have you used the lever at the top left of your dash, above the left glove box? It opens and closes doors on both sides for airflow.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

Thanks guys - late winter in NZ - 1st day of spring now and I put the foot warmer switch on when I got the bike in early winter and forgot I had it lifted on, Thanks for the advice. The advice was quick and accurate - really appreciated. Thanks
