Securing my bike

Can any one tell me why the horn honks continuously when I lock the trunk with the key? Also the fob will not work even with new battery.

Sounds like the fob is setting of the panic alarm. Not sure but worth a look. If you hit panic what does it do? Good luck. Sorry I read your post again. So not sure this idea is even worth trying.

Check the wires on the right side hinge. You may have to unwrap the tape. Common problem with wires breaking on that side.

I have the exact same problem! Haven't tried troubleshooting yet. Did you figure out what was causing the problem?... maybe save me some steps. :D

No I have not found anything that I can say it was positively the problem but in my digging around in the wires I can't get it to do it now.
Check all your wires that run around the hinge area
