I HAVE A 2001 GL 1800 WHICH HAS BEEN TROUBLE FREE UNTIL NOW.I RECENTLY WAS TRYING TO SELL MY WING AND THE BUYER WAS READY TO WRITE ME A CHECK WHEN EVERYTHING WENT WRONG. THE BUYER ASKED HOW DOES THE REVERSE WORK ? I REPLIED NO PROBLEM ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PUT IT IN NEUTRAL THEN HIT THE RVS BUTTON THEN THE START BUTTON .BUT BEFORE I REALIZE WHAT I DID I HIT THE RVS BUTTON WITH THE BIKE IN 1ST GEAR .AFTER I TRIED TO PUT THE BIKE INTO NEUTRAL I DID NOT GET A NEUTRAL LIGHT .I FIGURED I MUST HAVE BLOWN A FUSE (WRONG) AFTER LOSING THE SALE OF MY WING I BEGAN TO PULL IT APART AND RUN THE PROPER TEST AND FOUND THAT THE REVERSE ACTUATOR HAS A SMALL MICRO SWITCH IN IT WHICH HAD WENT BAD(BURNED) SO TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT IF THIS EVER HAPPENS TO YOUR WING BE SURE AND CHECK THE 3 WIRE RED CONNECTOR ON THE REVERSE ACTUATOR FOR CONTINUITY. :o :o :o

Any idea what had caused it to burn out? Or had it just seen enough and worn out?
