LED Lamps & Flasher for GL1800
This subject has been addressed many times, but I'm going blind looking at all the posts from way back when. I intend to install LED lamps in the rear of my '08 GL1800. I'm going to buy the lamps from M4 Products, who sells replacement lamps for RV's. They are a little pricey, but he has convinced me that the quality of LED lamps vary a lot, and his lamps are tops. I invite you to visit M4 Products and check out the website. It's impressive.
Now.....the flasher question rears its ugly head again. Is there an LED flasher any of you can recommend by name & number? If I install this new LED flasher either before or without changing the tail/brake/turn signal lamps, will it work properly?
Any other advice and/or counsel will be sincerely appreciated.

i havent replaced the turn signal led's yet on mine. but i did put led's on the brake lights, used the jumpers to have constant running lights and whole trunk lightup with brake lights with leds and there's no need for a flasher just for those. i have a 2015...
for the turn signals, you will need a flasher if you use led's...

Re: LED Lamps & Flasher for GL1800
I purchased the LED flasher from Electrical Connection and LED tail light package from SoCal. I'll have the flasher installed next month when I get the 24k service done. Since they have to remove the cowling to change the air filter, I figure that will be good time to install the flasher. And my hands won't bleed. I'll install the LED lamps when I get it back.
I would love to install some LED head lamps, but I'm not going to tackle that project. No way.
I'll post my results of the tail lights when the project is completed.

I installed the SoCal Pathfinder low beams in about a half hour with not too much effort. Toughest part is squeezing your hand into the opening. Great lights.
I also installed their Pathfinder LED cowl running/fog/drl/directional lights. The toughest part there was getting the Tupperware back together.

Re: LED Lamps & Flasher for GL1800
I just replaced all of my rear lights with LEDs, I put the iBright 9-30V in all of the brake/tail lights (several times brighter then the OEM bulbs, dual function). I put LEDs (SiriusLED 7440 Anti Hyper Flash Built-in load resistor) in the rear turn signals, I am extremely happy with the results, along with the back-off flasher for when I apply the brakes. The guys I ride with said it looks great from behind. By purchasing the Turn signal LEDs with resistors built in, it eliminates the need for the LED flasher and having to tear into the front of the wing under the dash. I am more then happy with the results.

Re: LED Lamps & Flasher for GL1800
I replaced my rear and fr turn/stop with Led's from So Cal. They say on their web site the flasher control does not have to be replaced. But the Led's will flash faster than stock. They are correct.
I'm glad I made the switch!

Re: LED Lamps & Flasher for GL1800
The first LEDs I put in my rear turn signals went to hyper flash because of less electrical draw tells the Wing that there is a bulb burned out. I checked with our local dealership tech and he said the hyper flash will not harm the stock flasher but I decided I want it to flash a normal flash so I found the ones with built in resistors and now they work perfect. The only way to get the flash pattern back to normal is to put in a LED flasher or put an inline resistor or do what I did and find the LED bulbs with built in resistors, I am very happy with what I did and didn't have to tear into the wing to get to the stock flasher.
The LEDs I found are from SIRIUSLED.com and are exstreme bright SiriusLED 7440 Anti Hyper Flash Built-in load resistor. They look like miniature suns in there when they are activated and flashing.
