On Board Diagnostics

Post by Asphaltmaniac » Fri Mar 09, 2018 4:30 pm

Has anybody tried the diagnostic tool on E-bay? Plug it into the diagnostic 4 pin connector and that plugs into a black box which you then plug your lap top into. Apparently you can get real time readings, and save them to your computer.
Its always bugged me I couldn't plug my OBDII scan tool into the wing. But since my wing has been electronically bulletproof since new I didn't really sweat it. But whats nice about my scan tool is I can look at whats going on in real time, and thought that would be cool to do with da wing.

Thx

If you are talking about the cheap after market HDS scanner it wont work. Bought one to check my two Acuras, tried it on my 2006 and it didn't work.

The one I'm asking about is for motorcycles only.

the couple I looked at only support '05-'08 in the wings.
the Healtech site mentions "Beware", these knockoffs are old models that still need their software, don't update, and limited functions.........

Yes I have been on their web site and their product looks nice. Certainly looks like you want quality its them or the Honda kit. I'd prefer the Honda kit. And at at $550 thats not too bad. But am not sure if updates are available if you are not affiliated with Honda? I need to dig more.
