clutch

Postby wingryder » Sun Dec 05, 2010 7:24 am

Yo Wingers,

My name is Jan, i am a wingryder from The Netherlands.
I am driving goldwing for many years and i never want something else.
Currently i have a 1800 of 1992 with al little problem, i hope you can give me some advice.

a few weeks ago we came back from a trip and i placed the bike in the garage.
we had a trip of 300 miles without any problem.
two weeks later i wanted to get my bike and while getting it out of the garage i started the engine, so far so good.
but when i put the thing in its first gear it suddenly moved foreward, although i still had the clutch disengaged.
luckely nothing happend but it is still not working properly.
Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Hope to hear from you.

You list the bike as being manufactured in 1992. Unless I am mistaken I don't believe it would be an "1800". I cannot remember for sure but the "1500" might have a clutch cable that can be adjusted. It may not have clutch fluid that would need to be changed. You might be better to post your question on the 1500 site if it was built in 1992.

Yo,

ofcourse you are right, an 1800 of 1992 is impossible, i was always poor in math  my 1500 was of 1992 and my 1800 is only 8 years old, so out of 2002. ;)
