Its not pre wired , but as far as I know All you have to do is find a place to put the volt meter depending on which one you get. And run it to the battery. Hmmm or is that the Battery bug. lol.

You can wire it in anywhere, but the closer to the battery you wire it (both power AND ground), the more accurate it will be. Just remember to ensure it's fused.

I Fred Blind :D

What is the model the voltmeter you have?

On my GoldWing I install the Honda, the cable is made for voltmeter.

2001-2005 the harness is behind the right switch panel. 2006 is behind the left panel and you need to by an adapter to run the wire from the left side to the right side.

Exactly, you need an extension, on the left to go right side

Price:
$ 13.45
Item: EC08104 Electrical Connection
Details:
This is an accessory harness. It allows the use of a voltmeter or some other "Plug & Play" accessory to the right side of your fairing. Honda removed the right side connector on the 2006-2010 GL1800's since the Heated Grips are a factory item. This harness plugs into the left side accessory connector and is run over to the right side to continue to allow use of "Plug & Play" items. .

Many people think this is the case and buy the adapter flyboy is referencing...however, the connector is there, but it ic closer to the center of the bike by fuel filler tray. To get to it and move it to where you can work with it, you pretty much have to pull the shelter, but it's there.

Thanks guys, Fly Boy were you able to access the harness under the panel on the right side.
The type you have in the photo is the one I was looking at, hoping my 05 will be able to plug right in without the adapter.

thank you all, Fred

I Fred Blind :D

The red plug that I used, you plug the original Honda heated grip, this place, you'll find it under the right pocket that has a lock.
the voltmeter is very easy to install, it's a plug and play.

If the answer is not good is that I misunderstood your question.
Ask me the same question in another way I can understand it better.
Sometimes I have some difficulty understanding some words in English.
