I would start by checking the fuses. If they are honda fitted then they should be easily found. If aftermarket then look for a connection next to the battery and see if there is a couple of wires and fuse attached.

You need a service manual. The trouble shooting procedure for an inop on the comfort package is long and involved but, doable if you can use a volt/ohm meter and can follow the steps.
If it's still under the extended warranty-you will need to call dealers around you until you find one that claims they have a tech that knows how to repair the Comfort Package! I never did find one within 100 miles of me.
followed the manual and fixed it myself
I believe the majority of the failures are the left grip for some reason. I would think it would be the throttle grip!

If you have removed the seat and you havn't connected the seat heating wiring by repacing the seat, the gripheat will not working.

Good luck,

Pull your seat off and check the plug male end. The pins bend easily and loose contact. Sometimes they back out of the plug. Dola. Dark red Navi. 06

:)
On my 06 the grips were working form time to time and the fix turned out to be the plug near the controls for the grips had a bent and a pushed back pin due to reconnection after repairs to stearing stem bearings. No problems since. :D

I've been extremely busy( sometimes lazy) and I live in the Arizona desert soooo heated seat repair has not been an extreme priority fix. I was wondering about procedure and will tackle the task at hand this weekend... Thank you alll for your input and I will post my journey this weekend sometime.

My 06 has the comfort package and the grips and drivers seat work but the passangers seat does not. Any ideas on where to start looking?

My 06 turned out to be a bent pin after I had removed the engine shelter and had to unplug the wires for the controlers. When reconnecting I bent a pin. I was able to correct the bent pin and the repair was fine, do be careful reconnecting and also use dielectric grease to protect from moisture. I have heard that moisture in the connections will cause the same problems. Check all connections if possible.

For the "Shelter", if we are talking about the main cover (gas tank, control panel) area, the link below provides a step by step video on how to remove it to replace the Air Filter - pre 2006. Hopefully this is what you are looking for.
