Cruise Control Inop

Bought bike in fall, cruise control doesn't work. Checked the individual little switches on brakes and clutch levers, they are ok. Any usual suspects that are known to fail?

There is a small fuse within the cruise control on the right hand bar. Simply remove it and seperate the plastics (not a big or hard job) the fuse for some reason also controls the battery charging. Can't remember the size of it as it was some years ago that I replaced one on my 2001 wing.

Where exactly, can you describe? Also, would that mean my battery charging would be inop? Because my charging system is OK. Thanks for your info.

Remy,
My answer was incorrect - my memory was playing up it was on my previous 1500 which has a small fuse in the cruise control switch. I would try spraying the cruise button on the handlebar with electrical lube of some sort as it may just be a sticking contact. If all the switches to brakes etc are ok but the light for the cruise control does not come on then the problem is probably the fuse No 19. Check and replace, but make sure it does not blow straight away if it does then the problem could be in the cruise power input unit this means you will have to remove the top shelter (false tank etc). You will then be able to check the cruise/reverse control unit.
Sorry about the first mistake my memory is not what it used to be.
