1800 steering stem I think

Postby tprender » Sat Apr 09, 2011 8:44 pm

I came across a '83 basket case a few weeks ago. The person had some extra parts for a 1800 mixed in the stuff. After looking over what I had, there is a box that has on the side PTK-18 GL1800 Power trak 4.5 degree. There is a new steering stem inside the box with a few other things. Is there anyway to tell if the stem is this one or just a stock one. Also, why would someone have an extra steering stem. I think that would be one of the last things that I would change on a 1800, kind of hard to get to.

Its probably for a trike conversion the stranded stem on stock bike would be hard to turn so they install a steering stem with a different angel. Cant tell you witch one you might have Hal

Thanks, for the info. So it kind of looks like I have a very expense boat anchor that I will never use.
