Running lights

Post by minnleeboy » Thu May 05, 2011 7:36 pm

I have a 2005 GL1800 Goldwing. I am trying to get the running lights to come on. I know they only operate when you have the low beams on. In my case with the low beams on and I press the switch by the hazard switch, the running lights come on, but as soon as I release the switch, they go out. Is this switch a push on/ push off type of operation and the switch needs to be replaced? Thanks for the feed-back.

Yes, your switch is FUBAR. It should be push on, push off and not momentary. Replace

They could also be "Driving lamps". Depends on which you buy.
For the OP- the switch should be "click"/push=On, "click"/push again=Off.
