blurring mirrors

Post by minnleeboy » Wed May 25, 2011 6:28 am

Has anyone tried different ways to reduce or eliminate the blur in the rear view mirrors at higher speeds? Or is it just the nature of the beast?

I have never noticed any problem. The only thing I could think of is that maybe your glasses have a little "play" in them. You can check the little screws on the bottom of the mirror housing to see if they are snug. Don't overtighten them though.

I do not have any vibration either, but I don't drive that fast. Lee, with that big a bike (18800) I doubt you can control the vibrations, but it sure must fly, lol (just kidding)

It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

I had a similar problem with my 2002 model. It turned out to be the mounting screws to the frame had become slightly loose. After tightening I've had no more problems.

Have you checked the tires. They could be out of round, out of balance or cupped.
Mine have a small vibration in them too.
