GL 1800 Goldwing idle problems.

My bike runs good but when I get ready to stop the idle pulses for a few mins and then settles out. What is the problem?

I am not sure it is a problem. Mine does it too, and it's brand new.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

Just purchased mine 6 weeks ago new and it pulses everytime I stop. Somethings not right about this. Very aggravating.

ECM most likely needs to be reset. You can do this yourself per the manual. Place the bike on center stand, place in neutral, then turn on ignition switch, and without touching any thing except the starter switch, start the bike and let it idle until it reaches operating temperature or the cooling fans come on, then turn the ignition switch off. This procedure resets the idle signal from your ECM.

Hi: I bought a 2008 last fall and I`ve tried the reset a few times and the problem kept coming back. I replaced the battery and problem solved . My old battery had a low reserve
would go dead in 15 minutes or so listening to radio and checking lights.

Get battery checked with a good tester.

Good luck
