How much does a tall windshield help.

Depends on what you want. I am 6'2" and I love it. It cuts out most of the front wind. Sometimes a little warm but only on hot days. Let's me listen to the music pretyy nice. What are you trying to do?

Haven't had anyone on the back with this windshield. I am sure Wingadmin can give you a response, he has the same windshield that I have. I picked it up because it was on special at JC Whitney on like a one day special last year with free shipping. Cost me $65.00. It was the tinted one. The clear one was the regular price. Figured it was a steal. Good Luck.

I am 6ft 1. and she doesn't ride behind all that much but when she does it is hard on her. May have to give it a try. I thank you for your reply.

I have the Slipstream Wraparound that ramdam1 mentioned. My wife would get buffeted and tossed around quite a bit at highway speeds before, with the taller windshield it is a world of difference. She says it's a far more comfortable ride.

Any comments about the mirror location with the wider windshield? Anyone went to the mirrors on the handlebars since the windshield blocks some view.

I have the slipstreamer shield. Another big thing that helps with passenger wind buffeting on the 1800 are the "hand wings". They are the small wind deflectors that go under the mirrors on the 1800. Probably the two most common brands are Baker and Tulsa. Other than that most of the additional buffeting on the passenger comes in from the side in my opinion and can be helped by deflectors that mount on the fairing about knee level of the driver. Other than that I try to tell my wife that it is a motorcycle and there will be wind, but this doesn't seem to help or go over well with her.
