2007 comfort package not working

Postby maurice99999 » Thu Nov 26, 2009 2:08 pm

So I purchase this beautiful bike with only 6,600 and so engrossed with the navi and immaculate condition that I overlooked that comfort package didn't work. Dah! Now I'm at a loss how to repair. As the grips and both seats didn't function I guessed it was only a fuse but no such luck. The fusebox is perfect. Unless there is a seperate fuse for the comfort pack located somewhere else that I don't know about?

Has anybody any ideas or encountered this problem before. I'm skilled enough with my hands but just don't know where to start. Could sure use a service manual or CD?

All help welcome. I'm guessing the warrenty (6 months left) won't cover electric components.

Help me out guys and girls.

You can get a slightly earlier version of the service manual (up to 2005, I believe) if you click "Download Manuals" at the top of the screen. That might be of some help.

My warranty covered it.

Thanks for that info. I have contacted my honda dealer as the bike still has some warranty remaining.

Did they tell you what the problem was? I'm led to believe that the right grip is a known fault. Additionally if fixed you automatically have a years warranty on the specified part - even if your total warranty expires sooner than this.

Let me know the identified problem, if you know please.

Rgds,

Maurice

My problem was the rear seat controller quit working and they replaced it no charge.

My bikes warranty expires 12/06/2009 so I just bought the Honda Extended Warranty from my dealer for $450.00.

Good Luck!
