OIL PRESSURE LIGHT

Postby Sailor Bill » Sat Sep 24, 2011 11:33 am

Hello,
I am a new Goldwing owner that bought a 2004 sight unseen. I now know that was not wise. My oil pressure indicator light does not come on when I turn on the ignition. The other lights seem to be working okay. Does anyone know what the probable cause is?

Thank you,

two things... the bulb is burned out. or bed connection on the bulb socket
third possible would be the wire to the bulb is disconnected or corrided connections.

I would not be so quick to condemn myself, was I you. Did you know the mileage on the bike and did you know if it had been wrecked and repaired? Other than that, these bikes are pretty much like cars. If they are not over a 100K miles, it is pretty much okay to buy them on faith. They do not often let their owners down. Just make sure you have oil pressure, and then you can look for the problem at your leisure. You dealership for the most part is your friend.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey
