Question....Does it normally cut off the headlight when you push the start button? The 1100 and 1200 do,and the start button contacts(bad)can kill the headlight.Maybe a similar problem. :?:

My GL1800 headlights go out when I start it up. As soon as I release the start button, the lights come back on.

I just purchased a used 2009 GL1800 last month. It has the LED aftermarket lights in the lower front. I run with them on all the time. When I start up my bike, the LED lights and headlight flutter while starting the bike but do not go out. The sound system music quits and then comes back on about 5 seconds later.

Thanks, Al
