Does anybody have a schematic for the gl1800 am/fm radio? This is made by Panasonic and is Panasonic Model No. RMG45PA.

I don't know that one is available, at least not publicly.

Someone donated it this afternoon, it should be online within 45 minutes or so. Look for "Honda Goldwing GL1800 Panasonic RM-G45PA Radio Service Manual".

That would be me who donated it. I searched all over the bleeding globe, talked with everybody in India with a telephone, spoke with Sierra Electronics, Honda, Panasonic, and a bunch of local repair places. A nice guy at Honda gave me the Panasonic part number and a web search on that number pulled up a place (http://www.manualzone.com) that sold me the manual for $20. I recommended this to Sierra Electronics and their repair department ordered a copy as well and are in the process of setting up a rig to test the radios. They said they had not done this previously because Honda would not release the schematics. Well, I guess we stiffed them on that one. I uploaded it to this site and sent copies to a couple of repair people who said they had units they could not repair due to lack of the manual. This one is for the 2001 and probably the 2002 GL1800...later models may require a different document. Anybody interested in this could contact Honda in California at 866-784-1870. You will have to suffer thru one of those blasted electronic answering services that thinks it is human, but keep punching buttons until you get to the part where you can select motorcycles and then Goldwings. Ask for a guy named "Jared" and tell him you need the Panasonic model number for the year bike in question. If he treats you like he treated me he will come across. Then you just search the manualzone.com site for the document. Considering that a new radio from Honda goes for a reported $1800 I think a lot of people will be glad to know this. I love it when a plan comes together.
