Two things to check fuses, and broken wire ground or the hot wire. Does it do it on both hand lever and foot break ? Hal

Except there are more than one bulb. Unless they all burned out at once, it's not likely the bulbs.

They do make decaffeinated coffee too, just like there is more than one brake lamp(filament),not related to the marker lamps.Same housing, different circuit.
It's kinda the same thing only different.Boy,do I need to back off the coffee too :D

Oh,and MartinJ.just because the relay clicks doesn't mean that the relay has main power to it or that the contacts are good, only that the coil part is working(click click).
The relay is used to handle the large power that would burn up the small switches.
The book says to check fuse #18.A blown fuse there will kill the light but not affect the relay clicking, then from there, the clicking brake relay can be substituted with another relay of the same type right from the relay box.there are 2 types.Just swap with another one.
