just installed a new anti freeze tank

Postby Fred Blind » Fri Nov 25, 2011 11:19 pm

I just installed a new anti freeze tank and topped the tank off with Honda anti freeze.
Is there any thing else I need to do or is it good to go?

I assume you mean you just replaced the expansion tank on your cooling system? and filled it with anti freeze. If yes, then you have nothing else to do, any air in the system will work it's way out quite quickly once you ride the bike.

Thank you Gary that is exactly what I needed to find out.
Has anyone installed a skid plate to protect the expansion tank?

I installed a Tulsa Belly Pan. Covers the entire bottom of the engine.

Sure. I paid $54.95 from Tulsa Enterprise which is now called All-American Products http://www.tulsaenterprises.com/. I bought it at the same time as a new Tulsa windshield.
You can find other manufacturer pans probably cheaper, as an example there is an Add-On belly pan on Ebay right now. Item #160688535493 and the current bid is $15. There are several others on Ebay too. Just enter "goldwing belly pan" as your search and you should find about ten of them.
