GL Brake Recall -- Roadsmith Trikes

Postby kerrsys » Fri Dec 09, 2011 6:23 pm

Contacted Jim McGurran at Roadsmith and asked him to post their position on the Honda GL Brake recall. Looks like those of us on RS rigs are good to go. See link: http://trikeshop.com/news/1292011/

Good question. I have contacted CSC and asked the same question. I have also heard there is a recall on CSC trikes kits dealing something about the spline/drive axel? Will post when I get a response.

1. Any trike conversion on which the brake system is still linked is affected by the secondary master cyclinder recall.
2. There is a service bulletin on CSC drive shafts. This is not the same as a recall. Due to a small number of drive shaft failures, this bulletin instructs CSC installers on a welding procedure to be performed free of charge to CSC owners. It also extends the warranty on certain model CSC's even if it has already expired. Contact your installer for further information
