charging battery on 02 1800

HI all just wondereing if u have to disconnect battery to charge or can it be done on the bike?

You can safely leave it connected, in the bike, while charging. After all, that's what happens when the engine is running.

If you now have your bike in storage for the winter and want to keep the battery in good shape, fully charged, get a "Battery Tender" and leave it on while it is in storage. They come with a harness that you attach to the battery and all you have to do is plug it in when you park it.
Make sure it is the type with a float charge so it doesn't over charge the battery, that will ruin the battery faster than letting it get low on charge.
The last battery I had, lasted for 5 years and I only changed it then because I was selling the bike and didn't want any problems when someone tried to start it.
