CB TALK TOGGLE SWITCH ACCESS

I HAVE A HAND HELD CB RADIO MOUNTED IN A BRACKET ON MY GL1800 AND WANT TO ACCESS THE TOGGLE SWITCH TO CONNECT THE WIRES TO THE SWITCH, HOW TO GET THE TOP OFF THE BLACK BOX TO ACCESS SAME?

I believe there are two screws on the bottom that will let the halves separate. However, a better method would likely be to hook into the wire connector that leads to that switch, which I believe can be accessed from underneath the left fairing cargo storage bin. That's going from memory, someone more familiar with GL1800 wiring might be able to speak up as to its exact position.

When I installed my cb on my GL1800, I had to install a filter in the wiring under the left cargo pocket, and one under the right, same place, but these are in the fan wiring. The main wiring from the cb to the bike went up the "right" side of the bike to a plug inside the top shelter, accessible by loosening off the whole right side of the shelter. I believe it would be one of the connections in that bundle that operates the talk toggle.
