WTB: GL1800 rider footpegs and bracket passengers also

Postby gof » Sun Sep 02, 2012 8:40 am

Looking for OEM/stock, like new, rider footpegs and passenger floorboards and any brackets associated.
I bought a 2004 GL1800 bike loaded down with Kuryakan chrome and I am defarkling it.

I assume the bolts from the Kuryakan are the stock bolts from the bike - otherwise I need bolts too.

Looking for a much better deal than my local dealer or a good source for these online.

Each time I cross the bridge you are on, I make a post as you did in a couple of the typical forums specialized in wings and comb eBay for the parts as well.

You may get more responses if you offer yours up for trade, unless you plan to keep the parts.

I'm still sitting on a pair of floorboards from my 1500 that I took off. I just went through finding some stock hand-grips and vibration dampers for my new to me 1800.

Good luck, If I run across anything I'll let you know.

I did the exact same thing to my 1500 when I got it. What I ended up doing was searching out new footpegs and a shifter on eBay that looked relatively clean, then bought new OEM rubber to put on them. The end result looked brand new, at a fraction of a cost of actually buying brand new.

Exactly, good idea. I am looking to sell off the Kuryakan ($$$) at a nice discount and hope to recoup some of the beating I took on my trade since it did not have passenger pegs and a passenger seat and needed a front tire. It is essentially a parts swap plus cash, but I need mine until the others come in. I have the fancy driver pegs, way way fancy highway pegs (Switchblades with large mounts, FAT chrome levers and ultra high technology passenger boards!

What would I pay from Honda for pegs, rear boards, regular levers, and if they have highway pegs? Did you get the OEM rubber from Honda? This stuff is nice, but IMHO it does not suit the design of the bike. I must be getting old I like stock?

There's a trike shop clearing out a lot of excess and he has foot pegs and other stuff, contact them: LoneStarTrikes@aol.com
They have a page full of stuff, they might have a lot more.
