Firecreek Gauge cluster GL1500

Postby oldnco » Wed Dec 19, 2012 11:03 am

Looking for the FIRECREEK GAUGE HOUSING FOR HONDA GOLDWING GL1500, with gauges intact. These mounted on the ignition switch cover, just in front of the radio shelter. If anyone has a set of them, and would consider selling, I sure would be interested in making a solid offer. Have scanned ebay/craigslist/etc. and have not been successful in locating them.

Looking for a better way of monitoring voltage, etc. I have one on my 92 Aspencade, like one listed here, but looking for sharper method.

Thanx
Bud

I agree Bud, the Firecreek is the cat's meow. I prefer seeing the digital numbers rather than a scale or analog gauges.
There is another option of the air rider gauges. It goes where the badge plate is on the 1500. Do a Google search.

My Firecreek gauges have a sun hood over them to help see them better and stops reflection on the windshield.

;)

This is the one that I would be more likely to purchase. Really like it. Firecreek is much better, optically, however, the D&M one is also a good looking piece of equipment.

Thanx for the link. THis may have to be my Father's Day gift-Too late for Xmas!

Thanx and Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I like it too.
Be sure to get the cover for it too or the warranty will be void.

Roger that on the cover. Called Dave's today. He told me that he would take my name/# and call me when he had some made to see if I still wanted it. He wouldn't take my payment until later. I look at that pretty optimistically. Told me he couldn't tell me when he could fill the order. That is ok with me, as long as I get them on by riding season. Got the beast back out of the shop today-new 416s on back, replaced bearings front and rear, new fork seals/oil installed, stem bearings squared up, rode like a new bike coming home (35 miles). If it ain't bad tomorrow, will have to take it for a ride!

Oldnco, did you purchase a set of the gauges? I'm interested in them, but would like some feedback on them first.

No. Dave told me that he would call me when he started making them again. Have not called him back cuz he really acted like there was some type of conflict that prohibited him from making them at this time. Was a little put off by his customer service , but I could have caught him at a bad time. Was planning on calling him back this week.

I called today. The gentleman that does the Gage's is stilldealing with issues. He is attempting to get g'd up and start mfg the gauges, but has family med issues and can't project order dates, so this may not be as viable an option

I am going to wait on him, cuz I believe it may be worth the investment.

I purchased the housing from WingMeter. It arrived quickly and looks good. I didn't order it with the gauges, as I intend to use different ones. If anybody would like a picture of it, just respond here.
