Do u need GL1000 parts/frame/motor

Postby JellyBelly » Wed Apr 03, 2013 3:44 pm

Wanting to do some more restoration work on my '78 and so It's time to remind you all that I have GL1000 parts, accessories etc. for SALE!!!

Just PM if there is something in particular you are looking for, give me your zip, what parts and I'll let you know if I have it and how much the part and shipping will be. I only accept paypal or cash (if you pick up in Memphis). Ask anyone who has purchased from me and they will tell you I am quick to get the parts to you. Yes I ship international.

I also have Vetter parts (Fairings, saddlebags etc).

I also have a '77 GL1000 for sale that I am putting the final tweekings on. It has a new battery, coils, ballast resister, fuel pump, saddle man seat, lower side covers. Just rebuild the carbs. She's ready to go, I'm really just polishing it up. title in hand.

Let me know, I'd love to help you out.

Thanks for lookin' out fer me. Nope. I'm just looking for the shifter & foot pegs. I've removed a lot of the weight on the bike & a cafe style bike is in the works. Presently, I don't have spark to the plugs. If you have info on diagnosis for that problem, it certainly would be appreciated.

Thanks. Have to borrow some instruments to diagnose lack-of-spark. Tomorrow. I'm in 92117, if you have some pegs.

Ya know, I have a multimeter. I just printed off the 1980GW service manual from a website. I'll memorize it tonight (only 356 pages), & then I will tackle the diagnosis. I'm thinking I may have to replace the fuse block according to one post here at this website because I now have two electrical items to address. The present box is rather old & should probably be admitted to the Smithsonian Institute as some sort of exhibition. Actually, the whole damned bike should be admitted!

Good morning,
I'm in San Diego. As I only have one motorcycle, I think I will need "the attachment part of the rear brakes." I'm unsure regarding which parts of which years are interchangeable. I do know that changes were made between '79 & 80, & then Honda moved some production to Ohio in 1981. Not sure what design changes were made.

Al,
Don't have. I have one bike & I'm using most of the parts that came w/ it. A month or so ago I did see that a guy was parting out some GWs here in San Diego. He put up his ads on Craigslist.
Ciao
