WTB Clock Adjustment Lever--1998 GL1500SE

Postby Doug B. » Fri Apr 11, 2014 6:36 am

I am missing the clock adjustment lever on my new to me 1998 GL1500SE. I have searched several sight's microfiches and just cannot find the proper fiche that might show the part. I'm not even sure a replacement is available unless I might get lucky enough to find one on E-bay or perhaps a salvage yard without having to purchase a complete instrument cluster.

Any body here that can help me track one down?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that's not the kind of thing that will be available as a separate part. You might be able to find something similar that you can repurpose?

Mine was missing on my 88...
I have LOTS of knobs from older portable radio equipment...
I used a knob that has a set screw in the back side...it's from a Motorola P100 radio..
It's called a 'low tier volume knob' part number...Motorola 3605207J03...
If you can't find one at your local Motorola repair shop, there may be one 'on-line'...
If all else fails,PM me...I have a couple extra. They look like this...

Wow, I'm surprised at that. I had a bike with a missing trip odometer reset knob, Yamaha wanted me to buy a new speedometer to fix it.
