Wanted defective GL1500 LCD assembly

Postby virgilmobile » Mon May 18, 2015 4:04 pm

Why.???...
Experimenting, analyzing, testing and signal process information. :ugeek:
I would like to get my test equipment attached to a defective complete LCD assembly to analyze it..
I am looking into the possibility of retrofitting and engineering of new technology for the complete display...
Preferably one with the dreaded "half moon" defect.
I don't need the gauges, just the LCD display and circuit board.
I promise no harm will come to it and I can return it in at least the same condition.

I threw mine away otherwise I would have sent it you to keep. I looked into this a few years ago due to the rip off 700 quid for a new panel, found companies that could manufacture a display for 15 - 20 quid, but what you seem to be able to do was beyond my understanding, and what I was prepared to delve into from scratch. Good luck with it.
If at first you don't succeed, hide the evidence.
