Tank protector

Postby RoadDawg » Fri Nov 26, 2010 8:58 am

Has anyone seen some sort of tank protector, such as a clear stick on vinyl that will protect the rearward part of the faux tank from scratches from pants, chaps etc? Bike is blue and it would be nice to have something clear so that the paint would show through?? I currently have a 2009 GL1800. Saw this somewhere before but cannot recollect where?

Thanks for the help,
Ken

Don't exactly understand your desired location for the film. On the sides of the tank area of my '08 wing I purchased self=adhesive grafite colored knee protectors from "Wingstuff.com" Around the fuel door area I still haven't applied any additional protection as yet. Likelyhood I'll take the bike to a bodyshop this comming spring and have a film applied to the area between the seat and the radio. On a previous bike a BMW I had this film done by the body shop and it looked very nice. Hope my suggestions help some. Jim
