Fuel Pump

Postby starfleetengineer » Wed Mar 09, 2011 9:28 pm

Hi all. Does anyone have a fuel pump for a 84 gl1200 I. EBay wants way too much for this item. I have an electric pump on it, but I would like to have the stock one back on it. Let me know if you do! Thanks

These are carburetor pumps - fuel injection would be too much pressure. I've had one for about 8 months so far so good. 60-65 bucks new.

Starfleet; unless I misunderstand your original post, yes you have an electric pump, which is what comes stock. I think they only used mechanical fuel pumps on the 1000s (75-79).

Yes Ron, it is the electric pump. Someone changed it and put a big pump on it under the false gas tank. I want to put the factory one on, but the cost on EBay is way too much. Looking into the Honda Praylude pump since it is closeist to the factory pump.
