Heel toe shifter for 84 Goldwing

Postby gunfighter16 » Wed Aug 24, 2011 2:47 pm

I am trying to find a heel toe shifter for my 84 1200A. every thing I have found is fo 1800's. Does anyone know of an aftermarket company that makes one for an older model. Wouls like to keep the stock pegs.

Markland (now out of business) is the only manufacturer I know of that made them, however I don't think they would work (very well) without the Markland floorboards that they were intended to go with. I don't know of any heel/toe for four-cylinder Goldwings that retain the stock pegs.

There is one for sale on e-bay,but you wont be able to keep your standard pegs as they will have to come off to put the heel toe shifter on. Hal

I've never seen a heel-toe set up without using boards either. Ya might have to buy the hole setup then see if you can jury rig it to work. Not that anyone on this forum would dosuch a thing.

Go to http://www.jcwhitney.com/chrome-plated- ... 027y1984j1 - note that the flat chrome side is in toward the bike and be sure to read the notes about how to fit the shifter - not as straightforward as you would be led to believe.
