Parting out 80 and 81 Wings

Postby RoadRogue » Fri Oct 14, 2011 11:19 pm

I managed to rescue these 3 wings from rotting away in an orchard. I will get at least one runner out of them, the other parts are up for sale.
Send me your wish list and I will get back to you with pics and prices.

Some assembly/disassembly required.

There are enough parts here for all three bikes, less the front end of one bike.

Vetter fairings with cyclesound units, side covers, false tanks. The list is too big to post, if you need something for an 80 or 81 send me a PM I probly have at least one of them.

I need a 80' motor that is not seized and would run. My present motor has a bad knock.

I need a spacer for the rear axle and a front or rear master cylinder if you got them. A working feul level sender would also be of use

Do you still have the clear fairing/windscreen that's pictured on the third bike?

Yes I have it but the shipping from here to you is worth more than the windshield. If you really want it I will get you some pics and a shipping quote.

Do you have one of the fan switches ?
( Maybe two, to ensure "working" )

This is an electrical component located in the rad to engine cooling tube , right side .

As far as I understand, its the same part for '80 to '98 ..... but I will check on that.

HI Silver Dave, sorry I checked both the fan switches I have here . Both tested bad. There is an automotive equivalent, I will get back to you on that in a few mins. I gotta look it up.

as it turns out the fan switch from a 94 Geo Metro will bolt in and do the job for you. The wiring conections are different but you should be able to make a simple wiring adapter.

Heres a link to where I read the info, page 1 ,15th post . http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum9/22913-1.html.

hope this helps, Todd
