What's wrong with your display? maybe it can be repaired.

Very rarely can LCD displays of any kind be repaired.

True if in fact the lcd is damaged or corroded.I do many repairs on lcd displayed devices that are non functional due to a bad driver board or flex conductor . That's why I asked what was wrong with the display.
I'm still unsure of the problem..."LCD spilled !!!!!!!!!!!!, simply run out!"...
Does that mean that the lcd is broken(cracked)and leaking all the numbers out of it??? :?:
It would be nice to see a picture :geek:

I can not send pictures, because the display is in a friend's motorcycle, which I wanted to help, I personally have the GL 1800 and GL 1800, but the opposite trick on two wheels in front!

I also have an LCD with a problem, only about half of the screen is visable. The other half, in somewhat of a half moon shape, has turned dark grey and when the ign. is on that area is not working. The part that is left only works if the temp. is warm, say above 60 degrees.Any ideas on repairing this expensive item?

There is no way to repair these. The LCD layers have delaminated and can't be repaired. Unfortunately replacement is the only option.
