Postby timothy1027 » Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:11 pm

Seeking a brake proportioning valve (Honda part # 43560-MB9-781) for the rear/front-right "integrated' brake system on a 1983 Honda GL1100-Interstate. Thanks!

I think I have one, not sure what condition it's in, as it came with a bunch of brake parts I bought when working on my 1981 GL1100... since I don't have the integrated braking system, I think I placed it in a box in my garage.. I will go get a native guide and my pith helmet and go on safari out to the garage and see if I can locate it....

Rich,

I feel your pain. I just did a 10yd dumpster cleanout of my garage so i have room for the wing for the winter months. Anybody need a couple of Sachs Hercules mopeds in different stages of teardown?

timothy1027,

Just returned from the "safari"... I found a rear master, some rear air shock parts, and a "Y" shaped part that I am pretty sure is for the air shocks... I can't seem to locate the other brake parts... I will organize another "safari" soon into the uncharted territory of the rear of the garage, maybe that will bear more fruit...

Rich,
I am going to try and reuse the old part. I discovered that I can actually buy a new one for about $64.00.
I am still learning about the parts availability situation on these "antique" machines.
Thanks for looking! :-)
