'84 GL 1200 Interstate Float Bowl Drain Screw

Postby harkgold » Tue Jan 24, 2012 9:34 pm

I'm restoring an '84 GL 1200 Interstate and I'm in need of just one single float bowl drain screw. The other three drain screws are in great shape and work fine, but the fourth screw has a highly corroded tip allowing the bowl to leak.

I'm trying to avoid paying $24.00 plus shipping for a new set of four when I don't need four.

Anybody out there got a basket full of misc. parts with one of these in it by chance?

Appreciate it!

Harkgold :)

Dear Poorboy,
I received your envelope in today's mail. However, I found that the envelope had been mangled and retaped. It appeared that some kind of machine in the post office attempted to eat the envelope. When I looked closer there was a hole torn in the front center of the envelope where my address was printed. It appeared that the screw must have been taped to the center of the card that was inside the envelope. The tape was there and I could see the indentation of the screw threads pressed into the cardboard and tape. I'm speculating that the screw must have been torn from the card and the front of the envelope ripped open when the envelope possibly passed through some kind of sorting machine at the post office.
Long story short....the envelope and card made it.....but the screw didn't.

I still appreciate your attempt to get the float bowl screw to me.

Thanks again!

Harold
