Hi Guys. :-)

I suspect the strainer is blocked to some degree, as recently, the oil pressure light is taking longer and longer to turn off after starting.

Has anyone found a way of removing the bolts securing this cover, especially the one facing the engine mount tab?
I've scoured GW Docs and found a reference to one guy who used shorter bolts when re-fitting the cover, BUT, he didn't explain how he removed the original bolts. Arrrggghhhhh. :?

Can anyone shed some light on this pls?

some loosen the frame bolts at the bottom and spread the frame a bit with a long pry bar or wedge it open a bit with wood shims..safer way to do it.
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE

I just dealt with the same issue recently too. I concluded the whole problem could have been avoided if Honda had simply put the removable lower section of the frame on the right side of the engine instead of the left side where they did.
