yep found that and it works fine. I can't imagine it not if they all support A2DP which they do. It's a bit cludgy but I ordered one to see about using the cb.

So I just received one of these. It is as craptacular as it seems. I think it will work for my needs but it is an odd thing. Not very robust but it would be ok and probably last a long time if used gently. But as with everything the devil is in the details. I'm not mounting it to a helmet so I can't comment about that but the connections are weird. For the mic and speakers as well as charging it comes back to a connector that looks like mini USB but it has 8 wires and a different shape. don't lose or break the charging cable as it turns out that plug was used by Kodak for a camera line but is discontinued. Apparently there was the tooling available so............ You can get a cable on amazon for now but again it is for charging and don't dare break the really thin wire, you have to unplug every time to charge, that goes to the headset.
The other port is to input a GPS or phone etc. It is a 2mm and comes with an adapter the is 2mm 4 wire male to 3mm 3 wire male. 3mm goes to most modern stuff like you phone. So this begs the question can I get a mic signal out of the 2mm port. Buying an adapter and going to try it by hooking up ear buds. The plan is to use it for the CB and if I can use the 2mm plug this is easy. Using the 8 pin almost USB thing, yeah not so much

Well, despite my earlier post I got stupid and ordered one of these. After noticing some of the things you just mentioned and the fact that it is a cheap piece of crap and looks like it wouldn't last very long I sent it back.brian.peters wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2017 7:37 pmSo I just received one of these. I'm gunna try and hack it. It'll probably just go in the trash but it will be a fun project or an exercise in frustration we'll see

I am really surprised by the last few comments about this being crap, I have had a couple of units on our dirt bike helmets for over a year, in that time they have been exposed to vibration, water & dirt (and the ground!! A few spills!
) and both units have worked perfectly and still work great. It is inconvenient that you have to disconnect the microphone and speakers to recharge the battery, but I hardly feel that makes them crap. They seem to work very well for intercoms between 2 people. They seem ruggedly constructed (nearly as good as the Sena units) and are a bargain price? Could you explain what was so disappointing to you? and why you think they are crap? they are not perfect but I would like to understand why they fell so short of your expectations.

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review
the overall feel is just cheap IMO. Makes me think they will have button and battery issues. The headset using a odd ball pug is another thing.
I'm glad they work well. Not sure id buy them for the wing but I can see taking the chance for dirt bike in that you are not out much if you mangle one. Now that said I bought helmets with basically a Sena 5 built in so i did not go the high dollar route and will have issues if/when they fail so I guess I should not trash talk
I bought it to try and hack the CB just so I have the option. Not sure that anyone I will meet on a bike uses the CB (I only use them wheelin) but wanted the option and it was pretty cheap to try. the CB was not worth the cost of a freewire

Each rider has different "needs/values" regarding the communications issue. THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING UNIT FOR MY NEEDS AND THE VALUE IS 10 TIMES BETTER THAN A SENA. Time will tell if my $30 investment was worth it, , , but for now I'm a believer!
Please let us know how the hack comes out for the CB, , , that is a great idea too. I kinda wish I'd thought of trying that.

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review
Well, I started this Post a while back, I am here to say again, this was the best $35 I have spent on my Bike ever!!! I have a couple thousand miles of use on it and it has withstood, some rain and sitting idle for a week. This little gadget works as I said it does and still impresses me every time I take a call while riding my bike. I have not had a silent ride (by Choice) since I got it. The music is playing all the time! It truly has not let me down. I am a frugal person, and do not have the latest and greatest of anything! My god, I drive an 1988 Wing, my wife an 84 magna and my son a 81 cx500 custom. (yes, I am stuck in the 80's) and I get by and do my best to fix problems simply and for good, not just with bubble gum or Duct Tape. I truly cannot afford a $300 Sena or any other brand name. I researched this little communicator for a while before taking the chance. This time I felt like and know, I won and was excited to share such a simple fix for several issues, This did that and continues to do that. There will always be people that can afford to go the top dollar route, I say go for it. But if I can do it for 10x less money and I am happy, we both win...You with the flashy, brand name and me with my no name, functional and enjoyable solution to the same problem we both desire to fix. With that said, If your looking for a cheap fix.....HERE it is. I still get nothing for writing this more than the peace of mind, knowing that maybe someone else will enjoy their ride just a bit more! Merry Christmas and be safe out there!!!

Well said. For the cost, we love ours and have decided we like Bluetooth. That's not saying we won't upgrade in the future, but for now these meet our needs just perfect.Shawn4245 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2017 7:48 pmWell, I started this Post a while back, I am here to say again, this was the best $35 I have spent on my Bike ever!!! Three weeks now and I haven't even received confirmation of shipment yet. They did charge my credit card immediately though.

They are Chinese made and it took 3 weeks for mine to show up too (through Gear-best). I bet it'll clear Customs soon.

It should be arriving soon, the holidays might've slowed the item through customs.
Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review
You can go back to gear best and check on your order. It will appear in the my account section. It will give you a tracking number. COPY the number and then click on the name of the carrier, it is an odd name...sorry I don't remember it off the top of my mind. Anyways when you click on the carrier name it will open their site and it will have a tracking number spot. Paste in the tracing number, then it will give you the details. If you just check tracing on gear best, it dosent seem to be correct, but the carrier is correct. I order more on dec 8th and received them yesterday, dec 22. the last stage (here in the states) was USPS, and they are as slow as molasses.

Came today. No tracking info. I think I paid extra for insurance but not tracking. I will report on the performance after I get it installed in the Spousal Unit's helmet.

So obviously there's no stereo on my GL1000. Can I use this to play music from my phone or something?

Yes, you can pair it with your phone and one other intercom, so you can have a conversation with one other person Whilst listening to music on your phone, talk on your phone, or use your phone as a GPS and listen to the directions/music.

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review
Okay. So, I installed the thing, and it pairs with my phone, with my wife's phone, plays music from either phone, but will not pair with my Torc bluetooth. After reading the Chinese to Ingrish translation in the manual, it seems that this set will only pair with other units like itself. Has anyone had a different experience where they were able to pair it with another intercom from another manufacturer? My Torc pairs with my friend's Sena headset.

I believe it will pair with one other device; either another unit, or your phone, but not both.

As stated, these intercoms will only pair with 2 other devices, hence my suggestion you pair your phone and another intercom, you have paired with two phones. You will need to drop one of the phones to be able to pair with your Torc.

You didnt say if you were trying to pair all those things at once and as stated you get two devices and that is it. I have one paired to a Sena 5 but had to use the Sena feature of pairing with other than Sena headsets.

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review
My friend did some research, and the BT will pair with the Sena, but not other Bluetooth units like my Torc. I ordered a second one to install on my HJC helmet. For clarification, I tried to pair it with several different devices one at a time, like the phones and my Torc.

I went to the gearbest.com and found the BT-S2 was on sell for $27.99. So I ordered 2. When I tried to checkout and pay it had me register. Then I had to verify my email. It said they sent me an email to verify my email. Never got it. Hit the resend button over a dozen times, still no email. Hit the live chat button several times, no response. Final sent a Facebook message, waited an hour for a response. never got on. After almost 2 hours of trying to pay, I deleted my order.
