It really depends upon what is causing the pain. Perhaps you should visit your physician and get it checked out. Hopefully, it might just be a matter of targeted excercise over the next few weeks.

Do you have short legs? It may be you need the footrests raised, there are both risers and footrests with flip up foot pegs available.

I have the platforms to put my feet plus you can raise the pegs up off the platform. I'm wondering if it just has anything to do with setting so still. I have a high backrest and my back gives me no problem. Just my legs.

Too bad there are not more passengers participating on this forum. Is it cramps or just pain? A friend of mine, a man, had cramps when he rode. He would take that medicine for women's menstrual cramps.

It's pain they hurt so bad I can't sleep but by morning it's gone. He picked me up a 1983 1100'interstate last month.bin excellent condition on 40,000 orginal miles I wonder if I would do better riding this trip on my own. It's a 10 hour trip which we plan on splitting into two days. Then a memorial ride when we get there For our founder of 18 wheels ma. Then the ride back which we also are going to do in two days

if I set in my recliner too many hours without getting up, my legs cramp..

I have to make a point of getting up and walking around the yard, or something...
it hard on legs when you sit still.

there are well documented accounts of airline passengers getting blood clots in their legs on long flights.
they have travel advisories for passengers to do special exercises before the take a very long flight.

It has to do with the blood supply getting shut off while you are setting at rest on a seat that has an edge to it.... it pushes the back side of our thighs up tight against the bone, clamping the arteries

make it a point to stop frequently, every 60-90 minutes....
if you ride your own bike, you can stand up, move around, anything to keep from shutting off the blood supply

We usually pop a few Ibuprofens if we're going to be out more than a couple hours, my right shoulder stiffens up and aches (not so much on the 1500, thank you cruise control) and the whole body gets achy. Even with stopping every hour.....
They say 98% of all Hardleys ever made are still on the road..... The other 2% made it home.

I lock the CC and take my right hand off the grip and lay it across my legs, Tendinitis is very uncomfortable if you push it too hard.

With Mick-O-Pegs, I am able to stretch out my legs as far forward as need be and that helps a lot.

It may sound silly, but wear a pair of support pantyhose - does wonders for leg circulation! It's mostly a matter of keeping the blood moving around in your legs, either by moving them a lot, or getting off and walking a lot. That's one reason my wife likes the sidecar setup so much - she can move her legs from straight out in front of her to bent knees whenever she feels the need, without kicking me in the process.

I will consider that but this feels like bone to me. I have a pair of circulation hose that goes to the knee and above the ankle

Are you diabetic by any chance? If so, then the pain is likely from diabetic neuropathy, which means it is nerve pain. Neurological pain medication like Lyrica is helpful for this type of pain, but a better source of pain relief, which is non addictive, would be Cannabis oil (CBD only) as it is a pain reliever but not psychotropic. Oil with the THC contained in it is psychotropic and should be avoided if operating machinery.

If you are not diabetic, perhaps begin taking two 81mg aspirin tablets daily to ensure you are not forming blood clots in your legs, which can be very painful, as well as very dangerous.

If it is in the bone, as you suspect, perhaps an arthritis medication.

A doctor might be able to narrow the search for the location of the pain.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey
