water pump replacement

Hello everyone , so I am replacing my water pump this week, got the old one off ok ,but is there a trick to getting the drive spline on the new pump lined up with the internal drive in the transmission? any help is appreciated. see ya on the road
1997 gl1500se with 120,000 miles and have enjoyed every mile we put on it.

Take the cover off the pump and turn the impeller until it lines up or if your arms are long enough or if you have help hold it in place and bump the starter.
