Blackvelvet is going on the block,,

Post by velvetrider » Sun May 06, 2018 11:18 am

Time and Tide wait on no man. I haven't ridden in about a year. Back surgery in Feb.,(great results) and mild heart issues have delayed the 'First ride of the year'.
She was cranky to start, but came alive and I went around town, ran some errands, she ran great.
I gave her a bath, 'man she looks good', I thought. Pulled into the garage and forgot to put the stand down, **&#$,,,f,,,. there she lays. No way I am getting her up until I find some help.
You guys have been sooo great helping me all these many years, thanks !
At 69 I guess it is time to part company. Got to admit it hurts some. Maybe a scooter in the future ? with only 85650 miles, 1500 miles since , new belts, brakes, carb and valve rebuilds, all kinds of extras, (original showroom brochure, extra original leather seat, with Honda logo.)
I am going to try for $3,K. What do you guys think ???

I wouldn't worry about selling. Doubtful you will ever forget the sidestand again. ;)

Well I am glad to report that Blackvelvet is back on her feet. It took a younger guy and $10. with a little lift from yours truly. Haven't been for a ride yet, she fired right up. I think I might put a red dot on the inside left lower corner of the 'sheild', to remind me about the ,,,$3#% ing kickstand..
