kuryakyn Highway Pegs Too Heavy?

I just purchased and received my Kurakyn Highway pegs. I can't believe how heavy they are! My wife and I are already near or the total weight limit of the bike me being 225 and her 180. Anyone notice a significant change in handling with the extra weight in the front? Maybe I'll tell the wife she can't ride until she looses 20lbs and I lose 10lbs lol.

I have not noticed any handling issues. I like the pegs too.

the factory's suggestion for maximum weight is hilarious.

Only thing I would worry about with the weight you are telling us of is tire pressure. You probably should not run the pressures that Honda recommends for the tires. I run my rear at 41 and my front at 43. Wife and I top out at about 400. I have the Kuryakyn Ergo II higway peg setup, plus the riders pegs plus the passenger boards that morph into pegs. The weight of all of these does not even phase the motorcycle. I had the Kuryakyn Ergo II highway floorboards before I got it back to pegs. They were even heavier, but I felt absolutely no difference. As AZ1800 mentioned... just go riding and enjoy the ride.

I keep forgetting about the "Honda recommended" tire pressures, IMO, they are bogus for the "real world" and current tires.

IMO, the front tire should be at a minimum of 41, I use 44 psi.

the rear tire if a m/c tire should be 44 psi also.

in my case, with the Michelin RF ZP the situation is a bit different as the stiffer sidewall and heavier load rating change things up a bit. I have tried from 32 to 55 on it, the 55 being rock hard and don't like it, ended up at 34 psi.
