neutral switch

Post by ernest rudshtein » Thu May 17, 2018 2:14 pm

hey ppl. changing my neutral switch due to a sever leak ( probably the o-ring failed) read the threads on HOW-TO and heres where i am:
so ive got the front lower right "front side" engine holder nut off, and pushed the bolt slightly "in" the engine.
took the front lower right "back side" engine holder nut and bolt out.
neutral switch holding bolt is out too
took the right floor board and right engine gourd off - for better view and handling
so the hold backs im currently trouble shooting are:
1.neutral switch body will not move nor come out, totally stuck.( can i aproache it as a stuck oil seal? -drill a screw in the plastick body and try to pull it out?
2.where exactly should i stick the wooden spacer to give way to the neutral switch to come out, and more- from which angle?what size of wood? tried a few approaches, the frame didn't move an inch.
let me know if i missed anything , and general advice will be great
tnx to all
ariel ( 1980 1100 gl)

greetings from sunny israel
job is complete!
neutral switch has been replaced. tachometer oil seal replaced.
new oil and filter, battery charged and ready to go to work tomorrow.
it wasn't easy without pulling the motor out, but sure is possible.
if anybody needs or wants my insights on the way i managed to switch the switch, let me know will gladly advise
ariel
