Kinda reminds me about the comment that used to go around the lab about how the expensive IC chip will blow to protect the fuse! :o

And early electronics courses "Hey, I found what's wrong with this TV! The fuse is shorted!" :lol:
They say 98% of all Hardleys ever made are still on the road..... The other 2% made it home. :lol:

Saw something similar in a house a long time ago, instead of a piece of fuse wire in the circuit - there was a 4 inch nail routed thought the fuse - it was replaced very shortly after.

That's one awesome fix you got there!

Is there a correlation there
6x1.0 for 10 amp
8x1.25 for 20 amp

And so on
