I found this one on ebay, brand new

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/like/35236114632 ... rmvSB=true

and this one quite similar, in used condition

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/05-Honda-Goldwi ... 3641.l6368

Both will fit 2001 to 2010 GL1800 Goldwings, and they are the only type I would use. They are six point attachement so they bolt to the frame and rear guard bars of the bike.

The Kuryakyn one is also available at CycleMax for about the same money.

Get a BushTec trailer hitch. For trailer pulling, there are only 3 to choose from. BushTec is one of them. Many hitches have 4 point mount. A 6 point mount is needed for trailer pulling.

Beware, pulling a trailer not designed to be pulled by a m/c can be dangerous. There are many small trailers intended for car use, but marketed to the m/c world. M/C pull trailers always have a bend in their hitch arm and usually come with a full swivel hitch. Both are extremely important for safer travel. An example of dangerous is coming into a turn to hot and applying the brakes. Many small trailers will not only want to push the rear tire towards the shoulder, but also want to lift it also. Aluma makes a couple of trailers that have done that to me.

I have had great luck with the Kuryakyn hidden trailer hitch. It is nice for when you aren't using it that it is out of sight out of mind.

So the kuryakyn hitch is probably good enough for what I'm looking to pull with...I'm looking at one of these trailers

My Cargo trailer is similar to the ones you are looking at. I have a hitch that is made the same as the Kuryakyn hitches, and six point bolt on. The bike does not even know the trailer is there, and there is plenty of arc for the hitch and ball to work together. I have run the tail of the dragon with this trailer behind and without problems.
