Welcome Cyberlon. I take it by that last comment you don't anticipate owning a goldwing with anything more complicated than breaker points any time soon. :D
Happy 'winging!!

I've been working for Goodyear tire and rubber as a tirebuilder for the last 8 years. We work 14 out of a 28 day period. I don't think I could work anywhere else because they would want me to show up every day. I've never worked full time and had this much time off, i'm loving it. :D

Retired military, 18 years in the wireless cable and broadband internet industry, now turning wrenches as an RV tech. Five more months and I retire for real.

I have been retired for a year now. Worked 47 years at the same metal fabricating plant. Started while still in high school (swept floors, cleaned bathrooms) became a welder/fabricator for many years. Was trained to run and program CNC metal cutting laser and did this 11 years. Last 7 years before retirement worked in quality control. Now I ride my bike or my lazyboy.

I’ve kinda had a dual career. For roughly 20 years I was in construction, half of that time as a general contractor. Built houses and did remodeling and light commercial work. I specialized in building log homes the last 5 years or so of my construction years. Then, due to an injury, I switched to trucking. I drove long haul tractor trailers, eventually owning my own rig. I achieved over 2,000,000 safe miles with no tickets or accidents, earning a certificate for that from Shell Oil Co. Them I opened my own freight brokerage office for about 7 years before retiring to care for my father.

Now, since my father died in 2014, I sell AMSOIL products and fix and maintain motorcycles part time. That about covers it.

I'm retired Army (Part time job is getting disability rating up), and currently instruct JROTC in a Fort Worth High School. This will be my last year before I retire from that. Then I'll find another Job (Home Depot) to build up SS points (Still to young to apply)and of course go GOLDWINGING!

I've done a number of things...

Used my degree in Astrophysics (nothing but physics and math) and Masters in Aeronautical Engineering in the Canadian Defense industry (7 years). (yes I'm a rocket scientist and no what you are talking about is not Rocket Science! )

I was writing so many programs (simulations mostly), that I went into business for myself as a custom software developer (9 years).

The economy forced me out of that and so the last 20 years I've been doing Internal Audit work testing Information technology controls at a number of different companies (... you asleep yet?).
